Indirect lighting
What is indirect lighting?
Indirect lighting means that the light source is not visible, the light is reflected through a ceiling or wall into the room. The lighting is often achieved with LED strip lighting, which is hidden in structures or behind mouldings and furniture. Indirect light is used to highlight shapes and furniture by illuminating their backgrounds.
Benefits of indirect lighting
The benefits of indirect lighting are glare-free, smooth and soft. The even distribution of light prevents reflections and glare from other surfaces. Indirect lighting can be used to illuminate walls and ceilings so that the light is evenly distributed throughout the room as general lighting, or alternatively as a dimmer supplementary light.
By placing the strip light close to the ceiling, a thin, sharp green light strip is created. Placing it further away again creates a wider and softer light strip.
Indirect lighting can also be retrofitted, making it easy to change the look of a space without major renovations.
In the dark, it is important to distinguish the stairs. By adding a strip of light to the staircase or handrail, you can increase safety and visual impact.
An LED strip installed on the external staircase indirectly illuminates the stairs, so that the light does not dazzle the eyes of the passerby.
