KVS Oy brings its lighting expertise to Turku

The products of lighting wholesaler KVS Oy are now also available in Turku. Managing Director Jukka Asp hopes that professionals will wake up to the benefits of the modern Casambi lighting control system.

To make a lighting project a success, you need professionals in design, implementation, lighting technology and automation working seamlessly together. This is the idea on which KVS Oy, based in South Ostrobothnia, was built.

"We are a consultative and guiding lighting and electrical wholesaler, offering healthy and flexible lighting solutions," says Jukka Asp, Managing Director.

Jukka Asp, Managing Director of KVS Oy, is passionate about lighting. For him, the most rewarding aspects of his work are satisfied customers and a successful visual outcome. Lighting also has significant health benefits, he says.

The KVS story began when Asp realised that there was a clear demand for comprehensive lighting expertise. In just over 10 years, he, partner Jussi Vainio and a skilled staff have grown the company into a full-service lighting house with a turnover of €1.4 million.

KVS is part of the HTF Group, a Finnish furniture group with a showroom in the centre of Turku. Customers can now make an appointment there to see KVS products on the spot.

"We want to find local partners and contractors who would benefit from our products and services," says Vainio.

"We also intend to organise formal Casambi training courses in the space in the future, for example for designers, contractors and museum curators," Asp adds.

 Top range of lighting products

KVS's online shop offers professionals a wide range of quality lighting products. The company is the official Finnish distributor and trainer of domestic Casambi products.

"Casambi is a revolutionary, fully wireless lighting control system. All lighting groupings and controls are done wirelessly. Even the switches are battery-free and wireless. The system is adaptable, making even challenging projects simpler," says Asp.

KVS has the right luminaire for all purposes. Products from Zumtobel, Thorn, Acdc, Corporate friends and Mojova, for example, provide spectacular lighting for a wide range of objects, from tiny museum pieces and private homes to public spaces, streets, industrial halls and football stadiums.

HTF Group guarantees KVS efficient warehouse logistics and fast deliveries to customers. KVS also provides professionals with advice and guidance on its products.

"We understand the parties involved in lighting projects from design to implementation, and we have solutions for every situation," says Vainio.

Flexible and atmospheric lighting

Mikko Vaitilo from Kaarina has a Casambi lighting control system in his detached house. He likes how easy it is to change the switch positions and lighting controls to suit his own needs.

KVS' lighting design and lighting fixtures made the home of Mikko Vaitilo's family bright and atmospheric. The pendant lights are now mainly decorative elements that can be bought over time as you find the right ones.

Mikko and Susanna Vaitilo from Kaarina ordered lighting design, luminaires and the Casambi system from KVS for their family's 185-square-metre detached house, which was completed a year ago.

Small spotlights and large LED panels and strips were used to create an atmospheric environment that is bright even on the darkest days of winter. They found it a relief to have the home lighting completed at the same time as the house.

The best thing about the Casambi lighting control system is its flexibility. You can change the positions of the switches yourself as required and easily customise the lighting control using the phone app. Mikko Vaitilo saw for himself how much the wireless lighting system facilitates the construction process.

"For example, the installers of partition walls didn't have to think about where to drill the holes for each light switch, because they weren't needed."

Customer meetings at HTF Group's Turku showroom will be organised by Jussi Vainio of KVS Oy.

KVS's Jukka Asp hopes that builders, electrical designers and contractors will wake up to the benefits of Casambi. The modern system eliminates many traditional steps in electrical design, installation and construction.

"Switches can be placed on finished surfaces where the customer wants them. Lighting can be provided in a higher quality, more adaptable and cost-effective way than before."
