FURNITURE AND LIGHTING INNOVATORS CREATED A SEAMLESS SERVICE CHAIN
Helatukku Finland Oy, a furniture wholesaler, and KVS Oy, a lighting, electrical and interior design company, have merged to form sister companies as a result of ownership restructuring. The arrangement brings a new, seamless service chain for kitchen manufacturers, carpenters and builders. The chain ranges from furniture products and house lighting, automation and interior design to electrical installations. The companies aim to expand domestically and achieve growth in international markets. The companies have a common parent company, the domestic HtF Group Oy.
Helatukku Finland imports and sells solutions for fixed equipment manufacturers. Today, the company also manufactures its own innovative domestic LED spotlights. Special solutions have been developed for them, such as sockets through the mirrors. Another new development is the design and custom manufacturing of Ledcut LED strips. The company's partner network includes kitchen and fixed furniture manufacturers, carpenters, furniture and construction industries, as well as hardware and interior design shops.
KVS develops and imports LED technology and designs and installs lighting. The company has structured its service concept so that it can offer its customers electrical design and automation, lighting, interior design, electrical contracting and installation.
Seamlessly from design to implementation
- There are many changing trends in the industry, and in the future customers will expect more comprehensive service concepts. We have taken this into account in our strategy," says Ari Pölkky, CEO of Helatuku.
- In many cases, industry solutions involve sourcing services and products from multiple designers, manufacturers and contractors. This does not always mean speaking the same language, and mistakes and delays do occur. KVS brings a complete range of lighting and electrical expertise to our services. This enables us to promise our customers not only products, but also comprehensive and seamless solutions from design to installation.
- Design alone is certainly not enough, as the electrical contracting sector is not sufficiently familiar with lighting," comments Jukka Asp, CEO of KVS, founded in 2013.
- We also look for solutions for demanding spaces, where deep knowledge and measurements are required, for example on the effects and distribution of light in the space. KVS expertise means constant testing, investigating light angles and optics, and testing solutions in different environments and on specific surfaces," says Jukka Asp.
KVS founder Jukka Asp has been designing lighting for over 20 years. In fact, electricity and light have been his passion since childhood. His versatile knowledge has been deepened through studies in the field and demanding jobs over the years. Asp took over full-time management of the company following the arrangement with Helatuku.
Growth expectations and new concepts
Both companies are united by their desire to develop new things and produce innovations for the Finnish construction and furniture industry.

We have tough growth targets, and now we also have the capacity to handle large-scale projects. When we add Helatuku's solid experience and international networks to our expertise, together we will be able to produce new and attractive concepts for the sector," says Jukka Asp.
In recent years, Helatukku has managed annual growth of around 10% and plans to maintain this trend. More jobs are also expected as the business expands. Helatukku's principles include a code of ethics on working environment, social responsibility and legality, which also applies to suppliers.
