FURNITURE AND LIGHTING INNOVATORS CREATED A SEAMLESS SERVICE CHAIN

Helatukku Finland Oy, a wholesaler in the furniture industry, and KVS Oy, a lighting, electrical and interior design company, have merged into sister companies through ownership arrangements. The arrangement will bring a new, seamless service chain to kitchen manufacturers, carpenters and builders. The chain extends from furniture industry products and lighting, automation and interior design of houses to electrical installs. The aim of companies is to expand in Finland and to achieve growth in international markets as well. The companies share a parent company, the Finnish HtF Group Oy.

Helatukku Finland imports and sells solutions to solid furniture manufacturers. Today, the company also manufactures innovative Finnish LED light mirrors itself. Special solutions have been developed for them, such as sockets imported through mirrors. Ledcut is also new, i.e. the design and custom-made production of LED tapes. The company's partner network includes kitchen and solid furniture manufacturers, carpenters, furniture and construction industries, as well as iron and interior design stores.

KVS develops and imports LED technology and designs and installs lighting. The company has built its service concept in such a way that it can offer its customers electrical design and automation, lighting, interior design, electrical contracting and installation.

Seamlessly from design to implementation

"There are many trends in change in the industry, and in the future customers expect broader service concepts. We have taken this into account in our own strategy," says Ari Pölkky, CEO of Helatuku.

"In many cases, solutions in the industry mean acquiring services and products from many designers, manufacturers and contractors. In this case, the same language is not always spoken, and mistakes and delays occur. KVS brings full light and electrical expertise to our service package. This enables us to promise our customers not only products, but also extensive and seamless implementations from design to installation.

"Design alone is certainly not enough, as there is not enough lighting in the electrical contracting industry," comments Jukka Asp, CEO of KVS, which was founded in 2013.

"We are also looking for solutions for demanding spaces, which requires deep knowledge and measurements, for example, of the effects and distribution of light in the space. KVS's expertise means continuous testing, studying angles of light and opticians, and testing solutions in different environments and on certain surfaces," Jukka Asp describes.

Jukka Asp, founder of KVS, has been designing lighting for over 20 years. In fact, electricity and light have been his passion since childhood. Versatile expertise has deepened in studies and demanding jobs in the field over the years. Asp took over the management of the company at full-time after the arrangement with Helatuku took place.

Growth expectations and new concepts

Both companies are united by a desire to develop new things and produce innovations for the Finnish construction and furniture industry.

"Our interior designers are really well on the map of future trends and customer expectations. Helatuku, on the other hand, has plenty of interior design solutions, the use of which we can extend to the interior of the whole home. We have strong growth targets, and now we also have the capacity to manage large entities. When helatuku's solid experience and international networks are added to our expertise, we will be able to produce new attractive concepts for the industry together," Jukka Asp sums up.

Helatukku has managed an annual growth rate of around 10% in recent years, and the trend is to be maintained. More jobs are also expected as activity expands. Helatuku's principles include ethical rules on the working environment, social responsibility and legality, which also apply to suppliers.
