KVS Oy will invest even more in outdoor and street lighting in the future!

KVS Oy has been the official distributor of Zumtobel Group in Finland for a year now. Zumtobel is an Austrian family-owned company and one of the world's largest lighting manufacturers. Zumtobel Group brands include: Zumtobel, Thorn and Thorn Eco, which are represented by KVS. Luminaires are available for all indoor lighting requirements and for outdoor lighting, from park lighting and street lighting to stadium and tunnel lighting. KVS Oy has gained a strong foothold in the Finnish lighting market over the past year.

Jari Karppinen, who has worked for Zumtobel Finland for a long time and has had a distinguished career in lighting, will retire in the spring of 2024. Mikko Viitala, who worked as our lighting designer, will take over and fill the shoes left by Jari. Jari and Mikko will visit and introduce themselves to several customers during the beginning of 2024.

When looking for a successor for Jari, it was important to Zumtobel and KVS CEO Jukka Aspi that the successor had strong expertise in both lighting and the rapidly growing lighting control sector. This time, there was no need to go further afield, as the right guy was already found in-house.

Mikko has very strong expertise in lighting design and Casambi technology and their combination, thanks to his previous work experience. Mikko has also previously worked at Fagerhult, Insinööritoimisto Tauno-Nissinen and Sweco. His previous jobs give Mikko, who has sat on both sides of the table, a significant perspective.
