SUPERSYSTEM integral – lighting for the entire space with a single system

Zumtobel’s SUPERSYSTEM integral is a system consisting of slim, rectangular luminaires and lighting modules. Uniform general lighting, downlighting, adjustable accent lighting, wall washing, and indirect lighting can all be combined into a single, cohesive system.

The luminaires can be used individually or installed in series to form a long line, with different sections serving different lighting needs. One section can illuminate a work area, another can highlight a piece of furniture or a work of art, and a third can evenly illuminate a wall surface. The setup can also be complemented with more traditionally shaped SUPERSYSTEM spotlights mounted on the same 3-phase track. This way, there’s no need to build a completely separate system for each lighting application.

From a short light fixture to a continuous line running through the entire space

SUPERSYSTEM integral can be installed as a single recessed or surface-mounted fixture, as a short lighting assembly, or as a long suspended lighting line. The same system can also be installed on a 3-phase track, making it easy to change the positions of the fixtures and the overall layout at a later time.

Track-mounted luminaires, adapters, and cover components form a cohesive line, resulting in a cohesive, well-organized look. SUPERSYSTEM integral also offers the option to upgrade existing 3-phase track lighting without having to replace the functional track.

Rectangular Lighting Modules – Same Shape, Different Functions

The SUPERSYSTEM integral series is characterized by its long, narrow rectangular shape. The series includes several luminaires with a uniform outward appearance that produce different types of light.

The Synchro Gimbal is an adjustable spot light in which six small reflectors tilt simultaneously. In addition, the entire light head can be rotated, allowing the beam to be precisely directed at the desired target without the visible appearance of a traditional spot light.

With the Pivotable Downlight, the entire length of the luminaire tilts as a single unit. It is suitable for applications where the light needs to be directed straight down or angled toward a wall, furniture, or another larger area.

In the Synchro Gimbal, the small reflectors tilt simultaneously, whereas in the Pivotable Downlight, the entire lighting unit rotates as a single unit.

The SUPERSYSTEM integral series is not limited to adjustable luminaires. The Wallwasher evenly illuminates wall surfaces, the Linear provides general lighting for the space, and the Indirect directs light upward toward the ceiling, from which it is reflected back into the space as soft, indirect light.

Different types of luminaires can be combined on the same track or profile. This allows a single system to provide accent lighting, general lighting, wall lighting, and indirect lighting as a cohesive whole.

The same design language carries over to small ceiling and wall lights

The SUPERSYSTEM integral series also includes smaller, freestanding luminaires that can be used without a track or a long profile structure. These, too, feature the series’ characteristic rectangular or square shape. They are suitable for spaces where a compact and unobtrusive ceiling luminaire is desired, but with a distinctly more linear appearance than a standard round downlight. The series offers both surface-mounted and recessed options for general lighting and wall illumination. This allows the SUPERSYSTEM integral aesthetic to be extended even to spaces where a long row of lights is not required.

By using different types of lenses, for example, hallway lighting can be designed so that the floor is illuminated with general lighting, but the walls are lit only where the paintings are; or, alternatively, the floor can be left without direct light, and the focus can be on illuminating the walls.

With various lens and light distribution options, the light can be precisely directed onto the floor, walls, or just specific details.

Color is the finishing touch to any style

The reflectors for these light fixtures are available in white, black, copper, and aluminum tones, among others, and the fixture’s frame is also available in several different colors. This allows the light fixture to blend into the ceiling or stand out as a prominent design element. The SUPERSYSTEM integral used on the bathroom ceiling at the Casa Onnenkivi housing fair exhibit is a perfect example of how this series’ compact light fixture can serve as a clear focal point in a space.

A single system gives designers more freedom

SUPERSYSTEM integral is ideal for spaces where different areas require different types of lighting, but where the lighting is intended to form a visually cohesive whole. The system can be used, for example, in offices, stores, hotels, restaurants, lobbies, hallways, and homes.

We’d be happy to help you select the right SUPERSYSTEM integral luminaires, light distributions, installation methods, and control solutions for your project.
